Published in the guidebook "OBSCURE SOUND REVISED EDITION", this is a collaborative album released in 1974 by Yuji Takahashi, a contemporary musician/composer/pianist who studied music theory under Iannis Xenakis and is active worldwide along with Toshi Ichiyanagi and Toru Takemitsu, and Masahiko Sato, a leading Japanese jazz pianist who debuted with the leader album "Palladium" in 1969. This is a masterpiece of a collaboration album released in 1974 by Masahiko Sato, one of Japan's leading jazz pianists who has been at the forefront of the music scene since his debut with the leader album "Palladium" in 1969. This is a reissue of an album released in 1983 on Nippon Columbia's Denon label as the fifth installment of the "Continuing Japanese Contemporary Music" series. All three tracks are improvisations by Yuji Takahashi and Masahiko Sato, with side A featuring an acoustic piano improvisation lasting 18 minutes and 49 seconds, and side B featuring an acoustic piano and electric piano improvisation connected to and modulated by a prepared piano and an EMS Synth-A synthesizer. In side B, improvisation with acoustic and electric pianos connected to prepaid pianos, EMS Synth-A synthesizer, and modulated by the EMS Synth-A synthesizer produces accidental sounds that even the performers cannot predict. The ultimate in free music. The comments from both artists on the back of the jacket will pierce your heart.
