Geri Allen was a member of groups such as Oliver Lake, Dewey Redman, Steve Coleman, and David Murray, and also played on John Stubblefield's 1986 album "Bushman Song," released on Enja, and David Friedman's 1986 album "Shades of Change. The album features some of the most talented musicians of the next generation at the time, including David McMurray and Steve Coleman, and is very imaginative, making extensive use of synthesizers. Highly recommended.
