Leader album from Polish tenor saxophonist Leszek Zadlo, originally from Kraków, released in 1976 on the excellent German independent label EGO Records. Backed by Joe Haider (piano), Isla Eckinger (bass), and Joe Nay (drums), Zadlo delivers a powerful quartet session that’s as lyrical as it is intense. The music brims with a crystalline atmosphere and finely detailed tones, with hints of ethnic color woven into the sound.
