The first release from the label division of Grocal Records, based in Harajuku. This album is a solo project by Japanese DJ/producer Marihito "MARI" Ayabe, who is also active as part of the unit Koo Voo with trumpeter Takuya Kuroda, a member of the New York-based jazz-dub trio Chimp Beams. Inspired by the overwhelming beauty of nature, the lingering images of its mysterious plants, and the works of photographer Hiroyuki Seo that seemed to capture such experiences, this album sonically portrays a single day at Joshua Tree National Park, which MARI visited in February 2022. The ambient work unfolds with a deep and expansive soundscape, seamlessly blending intricate textures, melancholic undertones, and an abundance of floating electronics that create a profoundly immersive and soothing auditory experience.
