An album released in 1982 by the genius and unmistakably iconic Brazilian artist Egberto Gismonti. A grand fantasy where cosmic electronic sounds created with synthesizers intertwine in a spiral with organic acoustic textures. The synth solo on A2 is already mind-blowing, but B4—also featured on one of his ECM releases—is the perfect fusion of electronics and acoustics, transforming into a cosmic electric saudade music. It’s truly remarkable how Gismonti, who had shown an early interest in synthesizers, fully mastered electronics as a tool of expression without ever compromising his musical identity. Highly recommended.
