This is a 1994 album by the Brazilian songstress Joyce, hailing from Rio de Janeiro, who began her career in the late 1960s and has released over 20 exquisite masterpieces, continuing her active career to this day. The album features a stellar lineup of artists, including Roberto Menescal, Gilson Peranzzetta, Emilio Santiago, Sandra Sa, Fatima Guedes, Gal Costa, Boca Livre, Gilberto Gil, Ney Matogrosso, Clara Moreno, and Beth Carvalho, each showcasing duets with Joyce. Throughout the album, you can find gem-like saudade sounds, where each artist's distinctive style is fully expressed, ranging from bossa nova to jazz ballads, all backed by Joyce's viola and Cristovão Bastos' acoustic piano. Standout tracks include A5, where Gal Costa's vocals, filled with nostalgia, beautifully complement Joyce's viola and Cristovão Bastos' piano, and B4, featuring Ney Matogrosso in a beautiful duet vocal set against Tutty Moreno's mellow percussion and Joyce's viola. This album is a true masterpiece, highlighting the essence of saudade with an acoustic ensemble.
