After starting her career in the late 1960s and releasing over 20 brilliant masterpieces, Joyce, a songstress from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, continued to be highly active. This album, released in 1985, features contributions from Milton Nascimento, Gilson Peranzzetta, and others. Tracks such as B1, which showcases a beautiful contrast between the flowing acoustic sound and her own double vocals, and B3, where Joyce's vocals gently sway like waves over a relaxed samba groove, stand out. Continuing the organic crossover jazz style that began with her 1980 release Feminina, this album also features songs like A4, where she sings elegantly alongside Milton Nascimento, hinting at her gradual inclination toward standard jazz vocals and jazz ballads. Regardless, Joyce’s voice remains as wonderfully mellow as ever.
A4: Tema para Jobim
B3: Fa da Bahia
