An album released in 1980 by Michiko Akao, a transverse flute player who has been active in a variety of activities beyond the classical realm since the early 1970s. In addition to her own compositions and arrangements, the album features covers of folk songs and jazz arrangements by jazz pianist Norio Maeda. The album features Shinobue (bamboo flute), Ryubue (dragon flute), and Noh flute as leads, and piano/electric piano by Norio Maeda on Maeda's arrangement, as well as Yasuo Arakawa (b), Tadayuki Harada (b-cn), Hisanaga Larry (per), Minoru Ishiyama (per), etc., to perform spiritual ethnic jazz with full Japanese emotion. The first two days of the show were held in the same location. Akao's Yokobue flute solo and ensemble with Koto (Japanese harp) and taiko drums are also very impressive.
