This is an artist compilation album for Nara Leao, one of the representative singers of the Brazilian MPB scene, deeply connected to the genesis of bossa nova, released in 1988 from Philips' "The Best of Brazil" series. Spanning 18 years from her album "Nana Pede Passagem" in the height of bossa nova in 1966 to "Abraços E Beijinhos E Carinhos Sem Ter Fim..." in 1984, the album tracks Leao's trajectory. Personally, I am drawn to the sophisticated sound production of the 1980s tracks.
