Smokin' Prelude
Nippon Colombia (Japan) 1981
YF-7030 (LP) w/obi, insert.
sleeve : EX-(wear on edge and corner.)
media : EX/EX(some light noises.)

This is the first leader album released in 1981 by Keiko Amae, a Japanese harp player who has been active in the classical world since she was a teenager, who took on the challenge of jazz. The album was produced and arranged by Chikara Ueda of Power Station, who has left behind many domestic jazz-funk classics, and features acoustic piano and synthesizer. Other participants include Yasuaki Shimizu, Toshiyuki Honda, Hiroki Miyano, and Louis Johnson. The A-side features arrangements of Chopin and Andre Popp's songs, including the jazz-funk style A1 and the reggae-jazz style A2. The B-side features Gershwin's arrangement and an original composition by Chikara Ueda. The delicate and lovely sound and melody of the harp is incorporated into groovy jazz and loungey jazz, creating a beautiful and soothing sound.

A2: Nothing but Love
A4: Can You Feel It
