This is an album released in 1985 by the Ahmad Mansour Quartet, led by Swiss guitarist Ahmad Mansour and featuring Norwegian bassist Terje Gewelt, Hungarian-American pianist Laszlo Gardonyi, and Canadian drummer Ian Froman. In addition to Mansour's own score, this straight-ahead modal jazz work features music by Bill Evans, Joe Henderson, and others. B3, a cover of a John Abercrombie song, is one of the best, with its melancholy contrast between the flute playing a shadowy melody and the melodic bass.
