A solo album released in 1984 by Akira Wada, one of Japan's most technically skilled guitarists, also known for his work as a member of the progressive fusion group Prism. Supported by fellow musicians and close collaborators such as Ken Watanabe (bass) and Yoshikazu Matsuura (keys) from Prism, as well as Tetsu Suzuki (drums) from Casiopea, the album was created with the theme of the Indian Ocean’s Maldives in mind. It’s a breezy summer fusion masterpiece, featuring tracks like the uplifting A1, which soars sky-high with a refreshing sense of freedom and incorporates wave sound effects, and A3, an electronic crossover piece showcasing synthesizer arpeggios and distorted guitar sounds. The album delivers outstanding tropical fusion that feels contemporary even today. Comes with a sharp, dynamic pressing, complete with an obi and insert.
A1: Asian Love Affair
A3: Busy People
