This is the second collection of piano music by Erik Satie, a French composer active in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, who is also known for "Furniture Music", one of the inspirations for Brian Eno's advocacy of ambient music. It performed by Maurice Ravel, Claude Debussy, and Aldo Ciccolini, an Italian pianist known worldwide as a virtuoso performer of Erik Satie's music. Originally recorded in the late 50s and released in Europe. The first collection was released in Japan in 1969, and this second collection was released in 1971. This 3 LP box set traces Satie's eccentric compositional life, including his representative works such as "Gnossienne," his early work "Ojive (4 pieces)," which he composed when he was 20 years old, his late work "Nocturne," and "Mysterious Pages," which embodies the concept of "furniture music.
