This is the little-known masterpiece solo album released in 1976 by German bassist Alfred Haurand, who worked with British saxophonist Alan Skidmore and Dutch keyboardist Jan Huydts. Haurand played double bass, an upright electric bass called Z-bass, manufactured by a man called Henk Van Zalinge, as well as flute and percussion, all played and multi-recorded. Starting with A1, which repeats simple phrases and melodies with unidentifiable and mysterious drones and sound effects, an extremely deep soundscape that takes you to an as yet unseen force world is developed from start to finish.
A1: Bass Raga
B1: My Mother Louise
