Swiss saxophonist Maurice Magnoni leads a quintet of French/Swedish/Italian jazz musicians including Enrico Rava, Palle Danielsson, Joel Allouche and Serg Lazarevitch. This is the only album recorded by the one-off quintet in Geneva, Switzerland in 1988. All of the compositions are original compositions by Magnoni, and all of them are based on the post-bop style, but it is more contemporary approach with the soft melody of saxophone and flugelhorn dances around the deeply reverbed electric guitar. If you like ECM, this is the album for you.
