This is a 1986 album by the Art Ensemble of Chicago, an American Chicago group of Roscoe Mitchell, Lester Bowie, Malachi Favors, Joseph Jarman, and Faumou Don Moye that develops free/experimental jazz with its roots in traditional African music. The album opens with A1, a hi-hat solo by Moye, followed by A2, a pleasant groove with a gentle fusion of good old New Orleans jazz and reggae rhythms, B2, which evokes a space landscape, and B3, which is full of Caribbean flavors. This work was made during the period when AEOC had an exclusive contract with Disk Union's DIW label, and has not been released except on Japanese vinyl. No obi and insert.
