The Art Ensemble of Chicago, an American Chicago group of Lester Bowie, Joeph Jarman, Roscoe Mitchell, and Malachi Favors that developed free/experimental jazz with its roots in traditional African music. This album was released in 1971 from the famous Double Actuel series on BYG Records, France, and it is 2 vinyl set couples "A.A.C.M., Great Black Music - a Jackson in Your House" and "Message to Our Folks," both released in 1969. Both works have long been praised or disapproved as theatrical music with a storyline as if you were watching a play, but you can't help but feel the AEOC-style witty satire and strong message against slavery and black racism. It depends on how you listen to it, but in any case, it has a very high dimension as music. Highly recommended.
