An album released in 1970 by Swiss flutist Aurele Nicolet, who has been active since the 1950s and demonstrated his talent in the field of contemporary/post-modern music, including recording Toru Takemitsu's "Miniatur II" with Ursula Holliger and Heinz Holliger in 1974, released by Deutsche Grammophon. Recorded in Japan in 1970 under the direction of Yuzo Kusakari, this album contains recordings of Japanese-originated tracks, with Christine Nicolet participating as the second performer. The works performed range from the Second Viennese School to contemporary music, including compositions by Toru Takemitsu, Klaus Huber, Edgar Varese, Jurg Wyttenbach, Andre Jolivet, and Arthur Honegger. Experimental actions such as changing recording positions for each piece to manipulate the soundstage are undertaken.
