This was featured in both the original and revised editions of the guidebook Obscure Sound. This album, released in 1982 by the one-off project Babia. Created by four Spanish musicians with extensive knowledge of world folk music—Luis Paniagua, Eduardo Paniagua, Luis Delgado, and Jesus Greus—it blends elements of North African and Indian folk music with a distinctly dry, atmospheric feel, incorporating drum machines and synthesizers, as seen in track B1. Track B2 features a beautifully minimalistic, looping ensemble of kalimba and xylophone. This masterpiece, rooted in Mediterranean music, utilizes a wide range of traditional instruments from Africa, India, Asia, and Latin America, combined with electronic elements like synthesizers to produce a borderless, experimental fusion of avant-garde world music.
