Bob Moses
When Elephants Dream of Music
Gramavision (US) 1983
GR8203 (LP)
sleeve : EX+(IN SHRINK, slightly collapse on one corner.)
media : EX/EX(some slightly surface noises.)

A total concept album released in 1983, by drummer Bob Moses, who is also an excellent composer. Lyle Mays (synth), Jim Pepper (tenor sax), Jeremy Steig (bass flute), Steve Swallow (ele. bass), Nana Vasconcelos (perc.), and Terumasa Hino (cornet). Pat Metheny is also listed as a producer. B1, dedicated to Miles Davis, features an abstract sound reminiscent of electric Miles. The unique world of ethnic sounds reminiscent of the third world and the coexistence of electric music is wonderful.

B1: For Miles
B5: The River
