This album was released in 1976 by Bossa Combo, a band from Haiti, a Caribbean country that shares the island of Ispaniola with Dominica. The group plays Compa, a local Haitian dance music that combines traditional Haitian religious music such as Lara and Music Racine, and melange, a Haitian interpretation of the merengue music of neighboring Dominica. The intro to many of the songs is break-like, and the vibrato-driven organ and guitar are very distinctive and interesting. B2 is cool with a bit of a zouk-like groove, and many of the BPMs are around 120, making it easy to dance.
