Centered around the German free improviser/saxophonist Peter Brötzmann, who sadly passed away in July 2023 after more than 50 years of active participation, this album features a collaboration with the Globe Unity Orchestra, performances with Don Cherry, and the assembly of exceptional talents including Fred Van Hove, Han Bennink, and Albert Mangelsdorff. Released in 1971, the album captures live recordings from the "Free Music Market" held in Berlin the same year. The A-side features compositions by Van Hove, while the B-side showcases compositions by Brötzmann. Both sides unfold into intense sessions of free-form improvisation, oscillating between fiercely dynamic moments and serene interludes. It's a formidable session that leaves one breathless. The drumming by Bennink is also remarkable.

Both side of vinyl exhibits very slight cloudiness, and there is minimal surface noise, but it is hardly noticeable.
