Carlos Embales is a vocalist who has made a significant contribution to the history of Cuban music, having played with the Septeto Nacional and other groups as the treasured son of Ignacio Pineiro, the famous composer who laid the foundations for contemporary Cuban music and salsa. Formed by Ignacio Pineiro, Los Roncos Chiquitos play exclusively on Latin percussion. Embales sings with a beautiful, taut voice over a primitive and lively percussion beat. This album is the best way to enjoy the real Rumba in all its glory.
