This 1986 album by American pianist Cedar Walton, who participated in sessions with numerous musicians including Ornette Coleman, Wayne Shorter, and Blue Mitchell, is the first release featuring live recordings from a concert held in 1985 in Bologna, Italy. The trio includes David Williams (bass) and Billy Higgins (drums). Side A features performances of standard numbers composed by George Gershwin, Cole Porter, and Duke Ellington. On Side B, they perform a blues number composed by Roger Ramirez, also sung by Sarah Vaughan, along with Walton's original compositions. The result is a superbly seasoned ensemble that exudes refined sophistication. The light Brazilian rhythm on track B3 is also outstanding.
B2: Holy Land
B3: Voices Deep Within Me
