Chick Corea was discovered by Miles Davis and played on important albums including In a Silent Way, Bitches Brew and On the Corner, and also led his own fusion boom with Return to Forever, released in 1972. Released in 1984, this album features Steve Kujala, Carlos Benavent, Don Alias and Tom Brechtlein, and the three tracks on the A-side are a Latin/Brazilian crossover of the classic ECM album 'Return to Forever'. The B-side is third-world electric jazz funk, a vivid reminder that Corea was a member of the Miles Davis Group, and Corea also uses a lot of synthesisers, mainly electric piano, but also Minimoog and OB-Xa. This is one album that is often overlooked by many, but it is definitely recommended.
