Chico Hamilton, one of America's leading jazz drummers, has been active in groups such as Lester Young, Jerry Mulligan and Count Basie, and has recorded his own excellent music ranging from cool jazz to mellow fusion. This is a masterpiece album released in 1980. The album features a beautiful mixed chorus and Kimbo's guitar solo on the Latin rhythm A2, a spiritual number A3 that develops deeply from the Spanish intro, a cosmic jazz funk B1, and an endlessly beautiful mellow bossa jazz B2. The electric piano by Charlie Munoz is especially superb. This is a timeless album.
