An album released in 1980 under the name Chris Beckers & Friends, featuring many German and Dutch musicians, centered around Dutch guitarist Chris Beckers. Neppy Noya, an Indonesian-Dutch percussionist, also participated. This is an excellent album that showcases breezy and groovy crossover jazz throughout, very similar in atmosphere to Japanese fusion by Yuji Ohno and Naoya Matsuoka. While it's not particularly flashy, it maintains a pleasant tension throughout, unlike technical fusion that often tends to go overboard. This is a perfect summer fusion work for the upcoming hot season. All tracks are highly recommended.
