This is the first album released in 1974 by Cornell Dupree, a guitarist who started his career as a studio musician for Atlantic Records in the U.S. and has played on over 2,500 recordings. The album features Bernard Purdie (dr), Ralph McDonald (per), Chuck Rainey (b), Richard Tee (p), and David Newman (sax), who are also excellent musicians, and the album features unquestionably great performances from groove-filled jazz funk to smoky blues. This is an instrumental work that showcases the best of everything from groovy jazz-funk to smoky blues. The funky groove of the title track is a knockout, and Richard Tee's organ playing is superb.
