This album was recorded in 1977 by American pianist Denny Zeitlin, who has been active since the 1960s and has left behind many leader albums, along with his close friend and drummer Denny Zeitlin and bassist Ratzo B. Harris. The album is a total concept album based on the theme of "Syzygy," which means a planetary alignment of three celestial bodies, and contains four epic suites of more than 10 minutes in length. The band also uses synthesizers, electric piano, and clavinets to create a galactic crossover music that surpasses progressive rock.
