The Harmonic Choir, a group formed in 1975 by New Mexico composer David Hykes, one of the foremost exponents of overtone choral music and a meditation guide, released this album in 1984 on the prestigious French folk music label Ocora. The entire album features harmonic choruses composed under the heavy influence of Khoomii, the Mongolian nomadic singing method, and Tibetan Buddhist overtone chants. As the title "Listening to the Solar Wind" suggests, the layers of overtone voices, which contain many overtones, vibrate in the air and give the impression of the sun's rays as a sound image. I recommend you this as deep ambient stuff.
