We've received a highly unusual album. "Doka of Spice," a group led by musician Florian Kemper featuring classical instrument players from India, Pakistan, and other regions, released this album in 1990 on their independent label. The album features German voice actors Friedrich Schutter and Rolf Becker. While it appears that the group had previously released two albums, detailed information about them remains unclear. On this album, they showcase authentic performances of Eastern and Middle Eastern classical music with vocals, harmonium, tabla, santoor, and tanpura, along with recitations of poetry by Wolfgang Von Goethe and the Iranian poet Shems Al Din Muhamed Hafis, creating a narrative musical experience. The performances are exceptionally impressive, and throughout the entire album, one feels as if they've stumbled into a labyrinth. Highly recommended.
