The album was released in 1983 by Elvy Sukaeshi, the No. 1 female singer of the emerging Indonesian dance music "dangdut", invented by Oma Irama in the 1970s. O.M. Chandraleka provided background music, and leader Umar Alatas composed half of the songs on the album. The rhythm of kundan, a double-sided drum that sounds like a talking drum, is accompanied by psychedelic sounds of electric guitars and synthesizers, and Elvy's tenacious vocals are featured throughout the sexy dandut. A4 is a nostalgic melody with a hint of nostalgia, like "Go Back to Busan Port" by Cho Yong-pil.
