This is the 1978 album by the group Entrance, a collective of outstanding jazz musicians from Denmark, including Palle Mikkelborg on trumpet, flugelhorn, and synthesizers, Kenneth Knudsen on piano, electric piano, and synthesizers, Jesper Nehammer on tenor saxophone, soprano saxophone, and flute, Bo Stief on bass, and Kasper Winding on drums and percussion. The album includes studio recordings from 1978 at the Sweet Silence Studios in Copenhagen on Side A, and live recordings from their performance at the Montreux International Jazz Festival in the same year on Side B. The album features fantastic cosmic jazz-rock with an aggressive rhythm section and majestic synthesizers, especially showcased in tracks like A3 and B3, where expansive sonic landscapes unfold. With the exception of B2, which is from their debut album, all the tracks on this record are exclusive to this release.
