Released in 1989 on Splasc(h) Records, one of the leading labels in the Italian new jazz scene from the late 80's to the 90's onwards, this album is by Festa Group, a group consisting of pianist Fabrizio Festa and bassist Maurizio Bozzi. The album was recorded live at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 1988. Riccardo Galardini (g) and Walter Paoli (ds), who have released leader works on the same label, join the group. From edgy electric jazz-rock to cool fusion under the influence of Pat Metheny, this is an excellent live performance with a fresh sound typical of Italian contemporary jazz.
