A leader album released in 1975 by American saxophonist Frank Lowe, who left a significant impact with his solo and leader works, including contributions to Don Cherry's "Relativity Suite" and "Brown Rice," as well as Alice Coltrane's "World Galaxy." The album features Lester Bowie (trumpet), Joseph Bowie (trombone), Abdul Wadud (cello), Steve Reid (drums), Charles Bobo Shaw (drums), and Selene Fung (cheng). Tracks like the explosive A2 and the borderline noisy A3 showcase Lowe's wild vision, epitomizing his intense avant-garde jazz style, while also exuding a funky groove. The jazz-funk session B2, recorded in a Memphis studio in 1974, is also highly recommended.
A3: Fresh
B2: Chu’s Blues
