An album released in 1988 by Gary Thomas and Seventh Quadrant, led by American saxophonist Gary Thomas, who was an active member of Jack DeJohnette’s Special Edition and collaborated with numerous legendary musicians such as Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, Pat Metheny, and Wayne Shorter. The album features Paul Bollenback (g), Tim Murphy (p), Anthony Cox (b), Geoff Harper (b), Steve Williams (ds), and Dennis Chambers (ds). Incorporating guitar synthesizers and keyboards, the album presents avant-garde jazz with a crossover feel that epitomizes late 1980s jazz. Among the tracks, B2 stands out as a deep contemporary jazz piece with a mesmerizing, floating sensation.
