This is the third album by Gato Barbieri, an Argentine tenor saxophonist who made his debut in the 1960s and left behind many progressive Latin jazz albums full of spirituality in the 1970s. The album was recorded with Carlos Santana, Bill Summers, Lani Hall, and other Latin musicians, and as the title suggests, it features a tropical Latin flavor, while maintaining Barbieri's quintessential nostalgic saxophone playing. This is a high quality version using the new master released by Alfa Records in the same year.
