This album was released in 1967 by German organist Gerd Zacher, who plays a wide range of music from modern classical to avant-garde, and is himself a composer of compositions. This is the US version released in 1970. The album includes improvisations by Argentinean composer Mauricio Kagel, John Cage's 1958 composition series "Variations I", Zacher's own compositions for organ, and his 1984 masterpiece "The Book of Compositions". Zacher's own compositions for organ, Hans Otte's 1965 'Touches' from his 1984 masterpiece 'The Book of Sounds', and Chilean composer Juan Allende-Blin's 'Sons Brises'. For some reason, all the pieces share a common drone of sustained sound, which is very interesting.

A1: Mauricio Kagel “Improvisation Ajoutee"
B1: Hans Otte “Touches”
