The album was released in 1983 by an octet led by Giorgio Gaslini, a Milanese pianist who was highly acclaimed as a leader of the Italian new jazz scene. It features Claudio Allifranchini, Maurizio Claudia, Fabio Morgera, Daniele Di Gregorio, Giko Pavan, Paolo Pellegatti, and Francesca Oliveri. Both sides of the album are over 14 minutes in length and feature experimental spiritual jazz with an edge that makes it worth listening to. The most notable feature is the vocals of Francesca Oliveri, the red-haired fimele singer who has also released an excellent solo album. Although she is not featured in the entire album, her magical voice performance can be heard in the first part of side A and the ending of side B.
