It was featured in the guidebook OBSCURE SOUND REVISED EDITION. This album is a masterpiece released in 1985 by the Hungarian contemporary musicians' collective Group 180. It features four tracks, including Steve Reich's classic 'Piano Phase' and 'Octect'. Reich himself is credited as music advisor. The tracks include A1 'Piano Phase', in which minimal phrases from two pianos that change over time spiral together to create a new melody and space, and B2 'Octect', in which minimal phrases from various instruments intersect to form an ensemble and create a divine sound space. Both performances are as excellent as the original. A2, composed by Hungarian composer Bela Farago, born in 1961, at the age of 22, and A1 by another Hungarian composer, Andras Soos, are also very good. So the whole piece is great.
