Featured in the guidebook OBSCURE SOUND REVISED EDITION, this 1982 album is an organic new age jazz masterpiece by three Norwegian jazz musicians — Håkon Graf, Jon Christensen, and Sveinung Hovensjø — all of whom also played on the classic Nordic jazz-rock album Blow Out. Very much a sequel-like work to the aforementioned Blow Out, the album is filled throughout with new age jazz rich in ambient sensibility, making full use of digital sounds. Highlights include A1, where driving drums, euphoric synthesizer pads, and a singing bass line soar together with exhilarating lift, and A2, where atmospheric synthesizers and melancholic electric piano melodies create a deep soundscape. Standing alongside Adelhard Roidinger’s 1984 masterpiece Computer & Jazz Project, this is an absolutely wonderful record. Very, very highly recommended.
