The first album released in 1984 by Haniwa-chan, a futuristic Japanese pop band featuring drummer/percussionist Kiyohiko Semba, Daisaku Kume and Reichi. The group was derived from Haniwa All Stars, which had a total of 30 musicians including Akira Sakata, Tamio Kawabata, Ponta Murakami, Eitetsu Hayashi, Misao Ogawa and Kazuko Hashimoto. Semba Kiyohiko's extremely free-style attitude is on full display, with a melting pot of sounds including Japanese drums, shamisen (three-stringed Japanese banjo) and frenetic female vocals. This is a milestone in Japanese avant-pop, along with Akira Sakata's Wha-ha-ha.
