This is a 1985 leader album by American jazz bassist Harvie Swartz, who played with Al Cohn, Zoot Sims, Thad Jones, Gil Evans and Lee Konitz, and was a member of the group Double Image. Featuring David Sanborn (as), Bob Mintzer (ss), Mike Stern (g), Victor Lewis (ds), Manolo Badrena (b) and Ben Arnov (p), this was urban fusion and contemporary jazz with a sophisticated touch unique to the era. B4, with its sticky atmosphere, soft melody of soprano saxophone and wet-textured electric guitar solos, has an air close to ECM.
