This is a jazz album released in 1971 by the bamboo flute player Hozan Yamamoto, who has made great achievements not only in the classical arts but also in contemporary music. The quartet consists of two Japanese jazzmen, Masabumi Kikuchi (piano) and Hiroshi Murakami (drums), and Gary Peacock (b), and plays a suite of six pieces. It was recorded in 1970, in a style barely recognisable as modern jazz, but already as free thinking and new as the contemporary jazz of the 70s and 80s. It's like a snow-covered Japanese “Kare-Sansui”. This is a reissue in 1977 with a different design on the back of outer sleeve.
