Melodia (USSR) 1982

sleeve : VG+(RW, wear on edge and corner, wrinkles.)

Album released in 1982 by Russian jazz composer/keyboardist Igor Nazaruk. Members include Alexei Zubov (sax), Alexei Isplatovsky (b), Andrei Chernyshev (d), Mark Pekarsky (perc) and Arkadi Ukupnik (b). Side A is a three-part composition that uses an entire side, shifting from a tense first half with space-age synth solos and glossy saxophone to atmospheric cosmic jazz and then developing into a piano-driven second half, with sexy saxophone, light-touch mini-moog and rhythmic Russian Jazz has a lot of good records.

A1: Part.1 (On the Mountain the Sunlight Is Born)
B2: Part.3 (Dance, Kolyada)
