This is a 1973 album by American jazz drummer Jack DeJohnette, known for his contributions to sessions with artists like Miles Davis and Keith Jarrett, and for leaving a number of masterpieces on ECM. This particular album was produced as part of a Japan-exclusive project by Trio Records, featuring recordings made in the same year at Iino Hall with a trio consisting of George Otsuka (ds) and Mitsuaki Furuno (b). DeJohnette's unique concept of playing piano and melodica without touching the drums is remarkable. The album includes tropical tracks like A2, incorporating Calypso rhythms, and the exceptionally funky B2 featuring high-speed melodica play, showcasing DeJohnette's talent on the keys.
