An album released in 1985 by a formidable quartet led by Norwegian saxophonist Jan Garbarek, a leading figure in the Nordic jazz scene, featuring David Torn (guitar), Eberhard Weber (bass), and Michael DiPasqua (drums). The album is filled with a unique ambient jazz that gives a floating sensation, especially on tracks A1 and B3, and the later part of A2 showcases Torn's soaring guitar sound. Incorporating electronics such as the Yamaha DX-7 synthesizer and guitar synthesizer, the album creates an infinitely deep and transparent soundscape. This is quintessential ECM. Highly recommended. This is the Japanese pressing distributed by Polydor at the time, with improved sound quality.
