This is a leader album released in 1978 by Janusz Muniak, a saxophonist who has been active since the 70's and has devoted himself to the promotion of jazz by opening a jazz club in the southern Polish city of Krakow in the 90's. The album features Jerzy Bezucha (ds,per), Marek Blizinski(g), Andrzej Dechnik(b), Pawet Perlinski(p,el-p). A1 is a 3 beat soul-jazz with nice groove, A2 is full of Brazilian flavors with a flying electric piano solo, and B2 is the title track, which is a cool mix of hot flaming moments and cool toned-down moments. This is a post-bop album that pays homage to John Coltrane and other US jazz musicians, and has a particularly groovy and spiritual orientation within polish jazz. Highly recommended.
