This is the 3rd album released in 1977 by the German jazz-rock group Jazz Track, consisting of Wolfgang Engstfeld (ts, ss), Sigi Busch (b), Heinnich Hock (ds, per), and Christoph Spendel (p). Within the distinctly tense atmosphere and three-dimensional sonic space characteristic of German contemporary jazz akin to ECM Sound, they unfold a remarkable, spiritually infused, and experimental electric modal jazz performance, showcasing incredible technical prowess. Elements of trippiness can be glimpsed, with filtered and phased wet sounds of the acoustic piano meandering in the background. I recommend A2, which captivates with its coolness and romanticism that linger within the tranquility. This album is truly outstanding.
