The leader album by Swiss saxophonist Jean-Luc Barbier, released in 1981, which was also introduced in the first edition of the guidebook Obscure Sound, alongside his 1983 release Dans La Ville Blanche. The album features a quartet formation with Christoph Baumann (piano), Hami Hammerli (bass), and Guido Parini (drums). Tracks like A2 and A3, centered around a flute that dances in the soundscape with an earthy tone, feature a light rhythm section infused with Latin and Brazilian flavors, complemented by a beautiful, flowing acoustic piano. Similar to the renowned Dans La Ville Blanchereleased in 1983, this album exudes an organic spirit reminiscent of Pharoah Sanders' classic Thembi.
A2: Miss Lydia
A3: Sip a Little New
